Another handy conversion with many happy customers!
As we have an in-house mild steel fabrication service, we decided to trial a Jimny Dog Conversion that allows dog owners to transport their furry friends in comfort.
This involved removing the rear seats and floor lining with plywood, as well as offering the option of aluminium chequer plate or 5mm thick rubber matting on the floor.
The steel enclosures were next – these needed to be fabricated. One was needed to go behind the driver seat, and another fitted just behind the tailgate. The tailgate cage is designed with a hinged door and includes a keyed lock – this allows the dog to be trained to calm down before releasing the lock.
Our research and consultation with local dog groomers found that this would make a useful feature.
All the cages are then powder coated for a professional finish before being prepared for installation.
The team at K2 are now proud to be able to deliver Dog Conversion projects on the Suzuki Jimny from within 1 to 3 weeks. The space achieved after the dog conversion, is 1m x 1m.
